Meet Shannon
Shannon is a 13 year old Chestnut Roan Quarter Horse mare who stands 15 hands. She was rescued from auction this spring and is started into a program with our trainers. On the ground, Shannon can be pushy and needs a firm, confident hand to remind her of the rules. Once you set those boundaries, she is very sweet and wants to please.
Shannon enjoys having a job but due to soundness issues, we have not be able to keep her going consistently. She has benefitted from wearing hoof boots when in work, and under saddle we have walk/trotted her so far. She is a sensitive ride, and again will need an experienced person.
Out in the field Shannon is in the middle of the pecking order, and can go out on grass without an issue.

Equine placement fees range from $150 to $2000 depending on the age, training and abilities of the equine. The placement fee includes current vaccines, negative Coggins test, dental floating, de-worming and farrier trimming. All equine adopters must live within 3 hours of Last Chance Ranch in Quakertown, PA.
