Zylo is a handsome young Bichon Frise mix (under 20 lbs) with a resilient spirit and so much potential. He's neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to find a patient family willing to help him continue the incredible progress he's already made.<br/><br/>Zylo didn't have the easiest start. He came to us after spending much of his life confined to a crate, severely matted, underweight, and stained with urine. Despite that beginning, he's shown us just how resilient dogs can be. <br/><br/>Since arriving at Suffolk Humane Society, he's gained weight, is healthy, and—thanks to his wonderful foster family—is learning what it's like to be a beloved member of a home.<br/><br/>In foster care, Zylo is thriving. He's enjoying life with his foster sister (another dog), learning routines, building confidence, and discovering that people can be kind. Every day, he becomes a little more comfortable and a little more trusting.<br/><br/>Zylo would do best with an experienced adopter who understands that some dogs need a little extra time, patience, and guidance to blossom.<br/><br/> He gets along well with other dogs and may especially enjoy a canine companion who can continue to show him the ropes. Because of his history, we are looking for a home with children age 12 and older. Zylo also has a previous bite history, which we will discuss openly with approved applicants to ensure the best possible match.<br/><br/>The family who adopts Zylo won't just be giving him a home—they'll be giving him the happy ending he's always deserved.<br/>If you think Zylo could be the perfect addition to your family, we'd love to hear from you!<br/>Applications are required before adoption consideration and can be completed at www.SuffolkHumaneSociety.com. <br/><br/>Adoption fee is $210 and includes his neuter, vaccinations, and veterinary care.
