Meet ZUMA - Needs a forever home!
A write up from her foster mom:
Zuma is a 5 year old Terrier mix. She is fully potty trained and crate trained (although she’ll cry for the first 5 minutes or so), but prefers to sleep in bed on a pillow like a human!
She LOVES cuddling, LOVES her ball and playing fetch, is SUPER great with kids and would love a little human sibling to cuddle with (she’s obsessed with my 3.5 year old)!
She has no food aggression, no problem in the car and is great on a leash.
She just got spayed and had the top of her tail surgically removed (due to frostbite) and she’s healing super quickly and becoming very playful.
She would do really well with another big dog to play with, after proper introduction. She’s a little nervous around men initially but warms up with consistent assurance and praise.
She really just wants to be around her people. She even followed me into the bathroom and slept next to the tub when I showered.

All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same day adoptions. A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all our dogs over the age of 1 year attend 1 obedience class (6 week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI to adopt one of our dogs. No out of state or outside the U.S. adoptions or fosters. Zuma's adoption fee is $300.
