Zoey V 26-026's Story

Meet Zoey!
Zoey is a 5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier with a big personality packed into a tiny body. This happy girl is full of energy, confidence, and charm. She absolutely loves meeting new people and making new dog friends - no matter their size! Zoey doesn't let being little slow her down, and she's always ready to introduce herself and become everyone's new best friend.
Zoey also does well with cats and builds trust quickly, especially when treats are involved. She is very food motivated and eager to connect with her people.
Zoey came to us after being surrendered to a local shelter through no fault of her own. Her previous owner was simply no longer able to care for her. Despite the changes in her life, Zoey has remained outgoing, affectionate, and full of love.
Her potty training is still a work in progress, but she's making progress and will continue to improve with patience, consistency, and encouragement.
Zoey would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a social, spirited little dog with lots of love to give. If you're looking for a tiny best friend with a fearless heart, Zoey may be the perfect match for you!

Zoey is fully vaccinated, spayed, & microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300.

Zoey is in the Paws in Prison program, where she receives basic obedience training. She will graduate from Paws in Prison on 7/18/2026. The dogs in this program are provided basic level training under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. So, there will be an adjustment period as they adjust to their new family schedule.

For this reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive his training journal. This journal documents his arrival from the shelter, daily training progress, and interactions with the trainers.

If you are interested in meeting Zoey or learning more about our adoption process, please submit an adoption application. Thank you!

Sponsor: Jany & Brian Lasley
