We don't know exactly what she experienced before she was rescued, but it is clear that life on the streets taught this little girl to be cautious.

Despite her difficult beginning, Zoey has an incredibly sweet heart. With patience, love, and consistency, she is slowly learning that she is safe, that people can be trusted, and that she doesn't have to be afraid anymore.

And now we're getting to see the beautiful personality underneath that initial shyness.

ABOUT ZOEY

Zoey is a small-to-medium-sized girl, weighing only about 32 pounds. She's slender, with a longer body, and honestly, pictures make her look much bigger than she really is!

And those beautiful honey-colored eyes... they are pure love.

Zoey absolutely loves other dogs. She has formed a very special bond with Jax, a larger and gentle dog, whom she considers one of her best friends, (but she is interacting with other 4 more dogs and 1 cat). She loves playing Jax, follows him around, and gains confidence from having another dog by her side.

Because of this, we believe Zoey would do especially well in a home with at least one friendly, playful dog who can be her companion and help her continue building confidence.

She is also good with cats and does well with people and children.

Zoey can be timid and cautious when meeting new people or experiencing something unfamiliar. She may need a little time before she completely trusts someone. She isn't necessarily the dog who will run straight up to a stranger and immediately demand attention.

But once she decides you're safe... she gives you her whole heart.

She bonds deeply with her person and becomes incredibly loyal and loving.

HER PERSONALITY

Zoey is:

Sweet and affectionate
Wonderful with other dogs
Good with cats
Good with children
Playful and curious
Loyal and deeply devoted
Potty & kennel trained
Medium energy
Happy to play, but equally happy to relax and chill
A total cuddle bug who loves kisses and attention

She enjoys walks, playtime, exploring, and little adventures, but she also knows how to settle down and enjoy a quiet moment with her person.

And then there's her DIVA side...

Just look at those little crossed paws! She looks like she's waiting for someone to bring her a pearl necklace and a fancy afternoon tea.

She's definitely a little diva... but she's also an adventurer at heart. Maybe she doesn't have to choose. She can be both!

ZOEY'S PERFECT FAMILY

We believe Zoey would thrive with someone who understands that trust takes time.

Her ideal family would be patient, loving, and willing to let her continue gaining confidence at her own pace. A home with another friendly dog would be wonderful for her, especially one who enjoys playing and companionship.

She doesn't need a perfect family. She needs a family who will show her, every single day, that she is safe, she is loved, and she will never have to survive on the streets again.

With the right person, I believe Zoey will become an incredibly devoted best friend.

Interested in adopting Zoey?

Send us a private message
Creoenti80@hotmail.com

And/or

Go straight to fill out her adoption application at: https://form.jotform.com/211167912746862

Every share helps Zoey get one step closer to finding her forever family.

Please share her story.
