Zoey's Story

Adoptable Zoey loves the beach! She tries to catch the waves and walks like a dream along the shore. She really is the most perfect good girl and would be the best family dog ever. She is waiting to meet you at Michiana Humane Society! She also has a sponsored adoption fee to an approved applicant!

She is smart and sweet and well-behaved and just such a good friend. She loves to sniff intently on walks, play with her toys and snooze.

Zoey would love a family that would take her for walks, let her romp around outdoors and play tug-of-war or fetch with her. She is so loyal, she would thrive in a family that appreciated that and was equally loyal to her. Since she's so smart and she would be really happy with a family that would continue to work on training her and keeping her mentally stimulated.

Zoey has lived with dogs before and did best with dogs who were relatively chill and easy-going. She does wonderful being crate-trained. She knows how to sit, stay, come and lay down. She LOVES treats and is so motivated to work for them. She loves car rides and walkies. Children in the home should be about 10ish and up. Zoey has done well with kitty friends with a slow introduction.

She will need to be on medication since she has hypothyroidism. The medicine helps her immensely and her quality of life is so much improved since being on it; don't worry, though! It costs less than $1/day; potentially even less if you buy in bulk!

Zoey is about six-and-a-half years old, is spayed and weighs around 92 pounds or so. She would benefit from losing a few pounds at a healthy rate. Being around Zoey is like an instant happiness booster. She's simply wonderful
