She's still learning that the world isn't such a scary place, and she's looking for someone to help her believe that. Zoe can be timid and hyper-aware of her surroundings, especially in busy or overwhelming environments. She notices everything-sounds, movement, other dogs-and sometimes that awareness turns into anxiety. But when she's with people she trusts, a completely different side of her emerges: soft, sweet, and eager to connect.<br/><br/>What Zoe Is Like:<br/>- Extremely sweet and people-focused once she feels safe<br/>- Active and energetic-she loves having an outlet<br/>- A huge fan of fetch (tennis balls are her favorite!)<br/>- Prefers slow, gentle handling and the ability to move away if needed<br/>- Can be cautious with unfamiliar objects, but recovers once they're out of sight<br/><br/>Zoe's absolute favorite activity is playing fetch: it helps her relax, focus, and just be a dog. Give her a tennis ball, and you'll see her light up, fully engaged and happy, not quite ready for the game to end. Around other dogs, Zoe becomes stressed and defensive, especially if they are loud or rowdy, so we believe she would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can decompress and not stay on high alert.<br/><br/>Zoe's Ideal Home Looks Like:<br/>- Kids around 12+, on a case-by-case basis<br/>- No other dogs - she'd like to be your one-and-only<br/>- A calm, structured home with patient, understanding humans<br/>- People who will give her time, space, and a steady routine<br/><br/>Zoe isn't a "jump right in" kind of dog. She's a "go slow, earn trust, and build something real" kind of dog. And once you do, her sweetness is incredibly rewarding. She's waiting for someone who will see past the worry and recognize the loving, loyal companion underneath.
