Zinnia's Story

Zinnia is such a tiny thing but makes up for it in confidence and assertiveness! She is such a playful and busy little girl, checking everything out, exploring wherever she is, and taking on any toy, regardless of if it is twice her size.

Zinnia loves to play with her foster siblings, all at least 6-11 lbs bigger than her! Their size doesn't intimidate her in the least. She starts the play most times and lets them know who is boss. She can sound like a vicious gremlin while playing with the big ones. She likes to rough house more than them even.

She loves to run around in the yard, and it is truly amazing that those tiny legs can move as fast and as far as hers do. She will do several laps around our 27' diameter above ground pool and still have energy to play some more. When she is ready to nap, she will crawl in the round soft pillow 1 or all 3 siblings or come to you with sweet little whines to be picked up and then will crash hard on your lap or chest.

Zinnia settles great in her rate all night and excited to see us in the morning. She is working on potty training but does do business every time outside. In the meantime, she is good about using the pads in the house.

Zinnia is currently just over 5lbs. Mom is only 15 lbs. so we expect her to remain small. (Mom looks to be a jack russell terrier mix, and Zinnia's features resemble possibly pug & chihuahua.

All puppies are in foster care and are not located in our office. Since all of our puppies are held in private foster homes, we look to have an approved application prior to sending someone to a private residence. If you are interested in adoption, please complete an application. Online applications are located on our H.O.P.E website @ www.hopesafehouse.org.

Upon approval of your application, we will contact you with the foster home phone number to arrange a meet and greet. There is no cost or obligation to apply.

*Basic obedience training classes are required for all puppies at an approved certified training facility of your choice. H.O.P.E. pays $50.00 towards the overall cost of classes. You will be required to leave a $100.00 deposit for training at time of adoption. This deposit is 100% refundable after completing the basic obedience class.

All puppies will be up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, spay/neutered*, microchipped and a 30-day health certificate. *If they are too young to be altered, the fee includes spay/neutered at one of our preferred clinics All pets have a lifetime return policy.

Thank you for your interest.
