Zeus's Story

Meet Zeus!

Zeus is a sweet, playful boy who loves attention, playing fetch, and being around his people. If you're willing to play with him, you'll quickly become his favorite person!

Zeus has grown up around children and has done very well with kids, including his family's three children as well as visiting nieces and nephews. He can also live with other dogs and cats once he has had time to settle in. He may initially try to assert himself, but once comfortable, he typically settles in and largely ignores them.

Zeus is comfortable with a kennel and knows the "kennel" command. He has always slept in a kennel at night, and he is currently spending much of his day kenneled due to his previous circumstances and the need for supervision. He has had some accidents when left unsupervised.

Zeus enjoys walks and uses a leash, although he likes to lead the way and stop frequently to leave his mark. He can also be vocal, particularly when anxious. His family has found that calming aids, such as anxiety collars or bands, can make a huge difference in his behavior. His future family should be prepared to continue working with him on his anxiety and may want to discuss additional options with their veterinarian.

Once Zeus is comfortable and his needs are understood, he is a fun-loving companion who enjoys nothing more than being with his people and getting some playtime!
