Zeus Husky & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Bellingham, WA

Hi, my name is Zeus! I’m a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Goofy, sweet

-Can Live with Kids: Kids aged 6 years and up should be okay as long as they respect his space and body language. He has been around kids around 6 years old previously.

-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history. Would likely do best in a cat-free household but might be okay with a very confident, dog-savvy cat.

-Can Live with Dogs: Zeus lived with a 3 year old female dog in his last home. He may be okay with a different dog friend pending an introduction here at the shelter. There is a note from the previous owner stating that they fought over food in the last home but there are not many details. Feeding dogs separately usually solves this problem in a home

-Can do Apartment Living: Wouldn't recommend due to size and energy levels.

-Potty Trained: Yes

-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Not required but highly recommended.
-Energy Level: Moderate/high
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home:
-Additional Information: Zeus was surrendered to the shelter with his buddy when his previous owners had to move into a place that did not allow dogs. Zeus does have some arthritis in his joints and should be given glucosamine supplements along with any other vet recommendations. According to the previous owners Zeus enjoys going on long walks and then lounging around the house and snuggling. They did note that Zeus is crate trained, which is great because he does sometimes get into the trash when left alone. Please note that Zeus' name fits him well as he is a mighty dude who can pull a mighty lot so he will need an owner just as strong!
