Zeke Rat Terrier & Chihuahua Mix Franklin, MA

Meet Zeke! Zeke is a sweet 2 year old rat terrier who is currently 22 lbs (don't tell him, but he should probably slim down a bit).

Zeke is a quick learner-- he already knows sit and down and is working on come. Like most terriers, he can have his own ideas about things, and he's energetic and loves to chase the squirrels and rabbits in the back yard. He's an active boy who likes to play tug with his sock toy and gets very excited for walks. He will be happiest with active exercise every day.

Zeke will bark at people he doesn't know who come into the house. He was also put in a situation where he didn't want to be petted on the head by people who scared him, but they cornered him and forced him. So it's important that his new home is ready to give him the time he needs to get to know and trust them. He's a smart little dog and would really enjoy a trick training class as well!

Zeke is okay having his nails done and being brushed, as well as riding in the car. He is crate trained, housebroken, vaccinated, and microchipped.

*** FOSTER MOM UPDATE *** Zeke and I had a breakthru and he's now my best bud. When I go to let the dogs out he comes right over to me when I let him out of the crate and he puts his paws up on me for pets. He's so super sweet and loves attention. He's great with my dogs here and even shows a few signs of playing. With a patient adopter he's going to make someone really happy.
