Zara Rottweiler Buffalo, NY

Meet our incredible Zara! Approximately 2 years old and a Rottweiler with a natural tail, she's quite a treasure. She has been fixed, she is up to date on her necessary vaccines, and she is crate trained/house trained. She does not chew household items in her foster home, and her foster mom calls her a quick learner: she knows sit, stay, wait, come, and fetch. Her favorite things to do are to play fetch, go for car rides, and relax at the foot of her favorite people. Zara is what we call a Velcro Dog, we know she will be best friends with her future adopters.

Sudden movements can make sweet Zara nervous and because of this we want to see Zara in home without children. She also does best with slow introductions to new people, so a quiet house without a lot of noise and visitors would be ideal. Zara will go for walks with other dogs but prefers to be the only animal in the home. Her foster home does have a mostly outdoor cat that she does not chase, but even so Zara is always monitored when the cat is around to be safe. She is true to her rottweiler traits and will need a strong leader to help her continue with her training and work on her confidence. We do request that applicants have Rottweiler/large breed experience to ensure Zara is set up to succeed in her new home.
