Yeti's Story
Yeti is looking for a forever family! Yeti is a 5 year old male Alaskan Malamute! Don't be fooled by his piercing blue eyes and intense stare: he is fifty pounds of photogenic fluff and wants nothing more than to cuddle with you! He looks larger than life, but that's just his coat!

Yeti is very laid-back and gets along well with pretty much everyone; he's great friends with his foster sister and is polite to strange adults and children. Not a jumper at greetings, but he'll gladly shake your hand when you meet him! He does better with large females than large males.

Yeti is a very silly boy and has a lot of personality! He is used to climbing on furniture and sleeping in beds, but listens when told to get down and stay off. Very food-motivated, he's obedient and listens just fine. He just needs to know the rules and have consistency.

Yeti can be energetic and can easily clear a 4' fence, so he will need a large yard with one 6' or higher or a plan to only take him outside on leash. He is fairly quiet, but, like all Spitz breeds, will announce his presence and will let you know when he needs your attention. He doesn't like cats and hasn't been observed around children younger than 6.

He's a sweet, good boy who loves nothing more than to go for a long walk followed by a relaxing nap with you afterward!

*We only adopt and foster our animals within a 100 mile radius from New Brighton, MN*

All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment. You can contact us through our website at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/contact/ or visit our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LegendsRescue/ if you have further questions or would like to schedule a meet and greet.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:
The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/forms/

FOSTER CARE:
Our rescues are fostered in individual homes or at our facility. We work hard to ensure that our rescues have a supportive family while at foster homes to help them move forward and get ready for their forever home. We work on training, crate-training and socialization before a dog is adopted out. Foster homes are extremely important to the success of the cat at their forever home, and it is extremely rewarding to be able to watch the cats growth as you help them on their journey to their happy ending. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please fill out our application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/foster-application/

YOU CAN HELP:

If you’re not able to foster or adopt right now, please consider sponsoring a Legend. Your donation will help with our care and pay for medical costs. Visit this link http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/donate/ to donate.
