Yeti's Story
Yeti
Approximate DOB: 2/21/2026
Weight: 5 pounds

Yeti is an adorable little Shih Tzu/Terrier mix (our best guess!) with a long body, big expressive eyes, and a shiny black wiry coat. He may be small, but he has a huge heart and an even bigger desire to be close to his people.

Yeti was the last of four adult dogs and five puppies that Loving Pet Project NC was able to help from a mountain community with the assistance of another rescue. When their owner was unexpectedly evicted, rescue groups had to act quickly to ensure the dogs' safety. Yeti just happens to be the runt of the litter.

This sweet little boy would happily be carried around all day if given the chance. He loves being with his people and can be quite vocal when he can't get to them. The good news is that his vocalizing is improving every day as he gains confidence and learns that he is safe and loved. At bedtime, Yeti much prefers sleeping close to his humans.

Yeti gets along wonderfully with other friendly dogs of all sizes and enjoys having canine companions around. In fact, we think he would love a home with another friendly dog to help show him the ropes and continue building his confidence. He has not been tested with cats, but based on his gentle personality, we don't anticipate any issues.

Yeti would benefit from continued socialization, new experiences, and meeting new people. He is playful, affectionate, and enjoys following his people wherever they go. As a young puppy, he is still learning about the world and is blossoming more each day.

Recently neutered and up to date on his veterinary care, Yeti will be available for adoption after receiving his next vaccine in a few weeks. He is doing very well with house training when kept on a consistent schedule. Yeti does have a sensitive stomach, but he is thriving on a sensitive-stomach kibble supplemented with chopped chicken.

Because Yeti is still a young puppy, he should not visit public places frequented by dogs until he has completed his puppy vaccine series. His new family should be prepared to keep him safe by avoiding pet stores, dog parks, and other high-traffic dog areas until he is fully vaccinated.

Because Yeti is the runt of the litter and currently weighs only about 5 pounds, he will need supervision around very large dogs and young children to help keep him safe.

Yeti is looking for a family that will shower him with love, continue his training, and appreciate having a devoted little shadow by their side. If you're searching for a loyal companion with a sweet personality and endless affection to give, Yeti may be your perfect match.

Adoption donation $450

Yeti is sponsored by a Special Friend of LPPNC and All Pups!

Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet.
