Yeager's Story
Yeager is a 2 year old Great Dane who was surrendered to the shelter with Eren when the family had to move. Yeager is currently in a foster home, who sent the following information about him: He LOVES the car & going on rides!
He is very timid around other animals, people, any type of loud noise/event happening (he is a lover not a fighter! I've noticed that when we are on walks and if we pass by other people, he will get scared and want to be as close to me as possible/shy away from others. The same if we pass by other dogs or cats).
He enjoys going on walks throughout the day & he is VERY good on a leash (the only time he will pull is if he sees a squirrel/rabbit or he thinks we're getting in the car!) and he likes to run and play at the dog park with me!
He does use the rest room pretty frequently & has had 2 accidents in the apartment while I was gone for short periods of time. I think the accidents were due to him being anxious/upset that he was left alone. He does seem to have a sensitive stomach at times.
He seems to have some separation anxiety whenever I leave the apartment. Whining, pacing, and not wanting to leave my side while trying to leave/when returning home. (This has gotten better over the last few days though! He is not getting as distraught when I leave for work now).
He wants to hangout and be with you all the time, he is very much a Velcro dog & he does enjoy lounging around the house and napping in the couch or bed!
He is incredibly gentle and well mannered and very quiet.
He would love to be a couch potato in a family that is quiet and not too active. The more you are home, the happier Yeager will be. If you would like to meet this HUGE boy, please email the shelter at cchs04@sbcglobal.net and request an application.
