Yasar's Story
Yasar is a 4-year-old, 15 lb Yorkie mix who is, quite honestly, pretty close to perfect.

Yasar loves the good things in life—snuggling on the couch, belly rubs, and playing with squeaky toys. He also enjoys chew bones and happily accepts any treats offered his way (he definitely knows the word “hungry”). He loves being close to his people, but he’s also perfectly content entertaining himself.

Yasar is wonderful with other dogs and cats. He’s been around dogs of all sizes and ages and does great, though very high-energy big dogs can sometimes be a bit overwhelming simply because he can’t always get out of the way fast enough. He rides beautifully in the car and is extremely tolerant of grooming. In fact, his before-and-after grooming transformations make him look like a completely different dog!

He will bark to let you know when he needs to go outside, knows basic commands, and does well either crated or free roaming in the home.

Yasar was adopted in 2024 but sadly returned after developing diabetes. As a result of the condition, he now has cataracts and is visually impaired. He can still see enough to navigate well on his own and doesn’t bump into much. After evaluation, our vet team determined cataract surgery would not be the best option for him, but it certainly hasn’t slowed him down. He remains a confident, happy, and loving little guy.

Because of his diabetes, Yasar receives two insulin injections each day. The needle is very tiny, and he is absolutely perfect for it—he just thinks he’s getting a little extra attention. He also eats prescription food, and since he’s such a small guy, one bag lasts quite a while.

Despite his “little old man” appearance and his diabetes diagnosis, Yasar is truly a puppy at heart. He has so much love packed into his tiny body and brings joy to everyone he meets. He deserves a home that will love him just as much as he loves them.

Yasar is neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and current on vaccines.

Dog application: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/40532/generic
