Meet Yam
This is Yam. He is an easy dog to have around. He is a wonderful house guest. Yam gets an attitude at times and needs an owner who will stay on top of that and not let him be the boss. His foster mom reports that he loves walks, food, car rides, and ice that falls from the refrigerator. Yam does not appreciate people in his face, adults & kids. He knows what the rules are and he follows them. He needs to be walked daily to see the world and get his exercise. Yam is crate trained and good with other pets. We are recommending a home without children since he gets nippy when irritated. He has done well with children on our walks in public but living daily with a child would not end well with Yam the Ham.
Fun facts about Yam, he can launch himself on to tall beds and furniture with ease!
He is a healthy dog overall, neutered and vaccinated. Yam takes two daily supplements by mouth. One is for cardiovascular health and the other for anal gland health. He came to us with concerns for both and has done well on his supplements ever since.
Yam has a heart murmur and had a cardiac work up completed. The cardiologist report was good! They said he is not in CHF and no need for any further medications at this time.
