We'll have several wonderful dogs there looking for homes!<br/><br/>SATURDAY, AUG 1 from 12 to 3PM: PET ADOPTION EVENT at the MERRIAM PETSMART located at 5810 Antioch Rd, Merriam, KS 66202. Join us at Merriam Petsmart and meet your perfect match. You may also email us at petadoptions@kckpd.org to inquire about where you can meet any of our pets. <br/><br/>----------<br/><br/>Meet WOOKIE! <br/><br/>Yes, WOOKIE really is THAT CUTE!!! This guy is just amazing. He's 100 lbs of pure cuteness, joy and love. He's very friendly and loves people. He's playful but he's gentle. <br/><br/>Wookie's favorite thing to do is fetch-- he will fetch, drop the toy at your feet, wait for you to figure out that you're supposed to throw it, and repeat... as many times as you're game for! <br/><br/>Wookie is in great shape with a shiny coat-- he's just a beautiful dog. <br/><br/>He is good with other big dogs but does need a home without cats. <br/><br/>Wookie is 2 years old. He is going to be such a wonderful companion for his new family! <br/><br/><br/>ADOPTING A DOG<br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
