Wintergreen's Story
Wintergreen was surrendered because of skin issues, but don't tell her she's supposed to be slowing down.<br/>This sweet older girl has literal springs in her step. She's bouncy, happy, and full of life. Her coat needs a little TLC, but her spirit couldn't be brighter.<br/>Wintergreen soaked up every scratch and bit of attention we had to offer.<br/>Wintergreen is a girl who clearly knows the comforts of home and a routine. She had a home once, and we'd love to help her find it again.<br/><br/>Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.<br/><br/>All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.<br/><br/>All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers).<br/><br/>We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s).
