Winnie's Story
Winnie is a big, joyful personality wrapped up in one very lovable dog. Shes sweet, funny, and deeply devoted to her peoplewhether thats a family or a single person who wants a constant companion. Wherever you are, thats where Winnie wants to be.

At home, Winnie is all about her toys. She has a full basket and makes sure every single one gets proper attention daily. Shell happily entertain herself, tossing them around, playing, and even chasing and returning her favorite balls. Its part of her charming, playful routine.

Winnie also loves car rides and is always ready to hop inwhether its for an outing or just because the door opened. Shes not a wanderer and prefers to stay close, often lounging in the sun out front or nearby, content just knowing her people are close.

Because Winnie has arthritis and is a larger girl, mobility is something to keep in mind. Stairs are difficult for her, and while she wants to be wherever her people are, she physically struggles to get up them. A home without stairs, or one where her person can help her up, would be ideal. She may give you a little bulldog-style grumble at the bottom of the stairs if she feels left outits her way of asking to be included.

She takes her medications easily, especially with a peanut butter-filled pill pocket, and handles her routine like a pro. Winnie enjoys a relaxed lifestyle filled with naps, companionship, and the occasional outing. She does have a bit of a snore, but it just adds to her character.

Walks for Winnie are more about enjoying the world at her own pace. She loves to sniff and explore but can only go short distances before needing a lift. A stroller works wonderfully for her, allowing her to still get out, enjoy fresh air, and join in on adventures. She can be a bit stubborn when shes done walking and will let you know, so being prepared to carry her or use a stroller is important.

Winnie is also wonderfully well-behaved in public. Shes calm and content at outdoor dining spots, happy to relax at your feet or ride along in her stroller.

What Winnie needs most is someone who will cherish her for exactly who she isa loyal, affectionate companion who thrives on closeness and comfort. A home where someone is around often, such as a work-from-home environment, would be perfect for her. Shes the kind of dog who will fill your home with warmth, humor, and unconditional love.
