Winnie's Story

Meet Winnie! This active, playful girl is full of personality and always ready for her next adventure. Winnie is still adjusting to home life, but she's already shown what a sweet and fun companion she can be for the right family.

Winnie is housetrained and does very well in her kennel. Once settled in, she is content and quiet with no destructive behavior or barking. She also rides nicely in the car when secured in a kennel. She knows commands like "sit," "come," and "no," and while she's still polishing up her manners, she's a smart girl who is eager to be part of the action.

This energetic pup LOVES the outdoors. If Winnie had her way, she would spend all day outside doing zoomies, exploring, and chasing birds. Her foster jokingly says her dream home would be a farm with lots of cows to herd! She enjoys walks and does very well on leash, but she'll definitely need an active family that can match her energy level and provides more than just a quick walk around the block.

Winnie is also a toy lover, especially squeaky stuffies! The more squeakers, the happier she is. She enjoys tennis balls outside too, although she hasn't quite figured out the whole "fetch brings the ball back" concept yet. She has a lot of your typical cattle dog energy and can get a little mouthy or jumpy when she's excited and wants playtime to continue.

Underneath all that energy is a very sweet girl who loves affection. Winnie follows her people around hoping for pets, treats, and attention. While she may need a little extra time and patience before fully settling in as a cuddle bug, she is already showing signs of wanting that close connection. She can be a bit cautious when meeting new people at first, but she warms up quickly once she feels comfortable.

Winnie has done well with cats and has also been around a 10-year-old child successfully. Continued structure, training, and guidance will help her continue building confidence and manners.

Winnie's ideal home would be with an active family that enjoys the outdoors, understands energetic young dogs, and is willing to give her the time she needs to settle in and continue learning. With consistency, exercise, and love, Winnie is going to make a wonderful and loyal companion!

We look forward to working with you to find the right match! TIMELINE Our primary objective is to assure the correct match for the people and the pets that we’re sending to their forever homes. Our goal is to send dogs and cats home as quickly as we can, while still being thorough.
