Winnie's Story

Meet Winnie - a little ray of sunshine with a BIG love for life!

Winnie is a 4-year-old Peke-Pom with a gorgeous orange-and-cream coat, a silly personality, and a heart that seems to have room for just about everyone. This sweet girl is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly - she’s always up for a nice walk, a game of fetch, or entertaining herself with her favorite toys, but she’s just as happy snuggling up with her people.

Winnie absolutely loves her humans and is eager to meet anyone and everyone. She also enjoys having doggy friends around and has a great time playing with her foster siblings. She is pretty neutral about other dogs when they first meet, but once she gets to know them, she’s happy to have them around.

And Winnie isn’t just cute - she’s a pretty easy girl, too! She’s housebroken, crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and knows sit, wait, off, and come. She has medium energy and does a great job balancing fun and relaxation.

Honestly, there isn’t much Winnie doesn’t like. Toys? Yes. People? Absolutely. Dogs? The more the merrier. Fetch? Her love language. Snuggles? Obviously.

If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, easygoing companion who can keep you smiling and then happily curl up beside you at the end of the day, Winnie might just be your girl!

If you’d like to take this pupper home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $300 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!
