Winnie's Story

Winnie is a young, giant, joyful bulldog girl who is going to make the right home unbelievably happy.

She is under five years old, and our vet believes she is on the younger side. Winnie came from Los Angeles, California, and she is now located in Redding, Connecticut. She is also very large, over 100 pounds, and she lives life like a true bulldog. Big body, big personality, big love.

Winnie is incredibly dog friendly and loves every dog she meets. She would thrive with a confident dog sibling who enjoys play and companionship, or as an only dog with plenty of enrichment and social time. She is also housebroken and enjoys being part of a routine.

Winnie's favorite things include being outside, going for hikes, and exploring the world with her people. She is a total outdoor girl and a little huntress at heart. If you have a yard, she will happily patrol, sniff, and look for mice like it is her full time job.

Because Winnie is huge and still young, she needs an experienced, confident adopter who understands big dogs and can provide structure, boundaries, and appropriate outlets. She has a bulldog habit of picking things up in her mouth and tugging at clothes, so we are looking for a home with no young kids. This is not aggression, it is classic silly giant puppy behavior, but with her size, it matters.

What we love about Winnie
-Under 5 years old, likely younger
-Over 100 pounds of bulldog charm
-Loves all dogs and enjoys canine companionship
-Housebroken and doing great in the home
-Adventure buddy who loves hikes and outdoor time
-Funny, curious, and always on a sniffari mission

Winnie's ideal home
-Experienced large breed home with confident leadership
-No young kids
-Daily outdoor time, walks, hikes, and enrichment
-A friendly dog sibling is a big plus
-A home that will keep things structured and fun

If you have been waiting for a big, goofy, dog friendly best friend who wants to explore outside and then come home and be part of your life, Winnie might be your girl.

Apply to adopt Winnie through our website, and our team will follow up with next steps.
