Windy's Story

Windy is a gorgeous, young, fawn greyhound mix female that is looking for her loving and furever home. She's a very sweet girl and loves people.
She is now in a foster home and bellow is what her fosters have to say about her.
On her first outing outside the yard and house, we found Windy to be well behaved, but very motivated to check everything out.

She likes going on walks with us. Each time she goes, she does much better. She's resigned herself to the leash and stops pulling when told to be "easy". She want's to run with bicycles and gets excited when she sees another dog, but redirects her attention when told to "leave it".

She's made leaps and bounds in progress since she first arrived. She's also making better decisions on her own lately She actually calms down enough now and enjoys lying down beside Paul’s feet. She comes when called, responds almost immediately to "no" and stands still when told to "wait" so that her lead can be attached. We also use “wait" when a door is opened or is being opened. She also is doing "sit" and "lie down'' although she doesn't stay long. She's good with "leave it", "back out", "kennel" & "easy" as well.

She kennels easily. When she wants to stay out she sometimes barks, but only for a very short time. She's not really a barker. She does sometimes howl first thing in the morning. It's beautiful and heartbreaking as we think she's calling her pack.

If you are willing to let Windy race into your heart please contact Cathy or Joe at FORG@LucianoFamily.net.
