Wilson & Sherman (Courtesy Post)'s Story

COURTESY POST

Sherman & Wilson: Double the Love, Double the Cuddles!
Males, Bichon Frise/Maltese mixes, 10 years old

Sherman and Wilson are an adorable, bonded pair of senior pups looking for a loving home where they can spend their golden years together. Born in October 2015, these lifelong brothers have never been apart, and they're happiest when they're side by side.

They are sweet, gentle companions with loving personalities that brighten every room they enter. Sherman is the larger of the two, but both are equally affectionate and enjoy spending time with their people.

These boys love going for walks, although they'll benefit from some continued leash training. They get along well with everyone they meet and have never shown aggression. They haven't had much interaction with other dogs outside of occasional veterinary visits, where they have always behaved nicely.

Like many senior dogs, Sherman and Wilson do best with a consistent daily routine. They have not learned to use a dog door and rely on their people for regular trips outside. If they aren't let out on schedule, they may have accidents indoors, so they'll be happiest in a home where someone can provide frequent potty breaks and a predictable routine. Our APS-FH team will be happy to provide guidance and support on training needs - a dog can learn new tricks at any age!

They are well cared for, groomed every 6-7 weeks, current on all vaccinations, and have received regular veterinary care. Sherman has a small bump on his left front leg that he tends to lick. It has been evaluated by the veterinarian, is not contagious, and his current veterinarian is happy to continue caring for him.

Sherman and Wilson came to their current family through APS-FH in April 2025. Their family loves them dearly but has made the difficult decision to seek a new home because they can no longer provide the level of care and activity these deserving boys need as they age. These brothers come with everything they'll need to settle into their new home: beds, toys, bowls, leashes, and even a dog door for a sliding glass door.

If you're looking for twice the love, twice the companionship, and the joy that only a bonded senior pair can bring, Sherman and Wilson are ready to fill your home with gentle hearts and wagging tails.

If you would like to know more about these boys and get connected with people for a meet and greet, please reach out to APS-FH at shelter@apsfh.com for more information or call 360-378-2158. Or you can fill out an Adoption Application from our website here:

www.apsfh.com/adoption-program/canine-application

**This pet is not at the shelter. APS-FH offers "Courtesy Posting" as a way for pets to stay in their current homes while looking for their new home. APS-FH has not met, evaluated, or interacted with this dog and cannot make any guarantees about their health or temperament. Adoption process and rehoming fee is at the discretion of the pet's current guardian.**
