Wilson's Story
Wilson is a 1 year old French bulldog puppy with a cleft palate. He has had no trouble eating and drinking and he does not need his palate repaired - he just needs the right consistency food. We will thoroughly discuss cleft care and feeding with an approved adopter.

Wilson is crate trained and was doing exceptionally well with potty training until recently. He's regressing a bit with his potty training, so his adopter will need to be able to provide a lot of patience, consistency, and training.

Wilson walks well on a leash. He doesn't bark (so he's super quiet!). He knows to go into a down and wait to be released before a meal. He will check in and ask permission (by making eye contact) before picking up dropped food. He waits to come out of his crate until given a command and he also looks up and waits to cross a threshold to outside until given a command. He has a good foundation of manners, but he's a frenchie and if these behaviors are not consistently required and reinforced, he'll stop doing them.

If you are interested in adding Wilson to your family, please fill out the application here first: www.kittennuggets.org/adopt (I know its for kittens, but pretend it's for a puppy and fill it out accordingly - we mostly do kittens and rarely cleft puppies) then be sure to fill out the puppy questionnaire. Both the application and questionnaire are required to be considered for adoption. Please read each question carefully and respond fully and appropriately, as incomplete applications (if you respond to a question but don't answer the question) will not be considered!
