Wilson's Story

Meet Wilson

Wilson is a tan American Bulldog/Boxer mix (we think!) with a tender heart and soulful eyes. He is 50 lbs and our vet est him to be 3 years old.
When he first arrived at our rescue, the world felt overwhelming, and he needed quiet time to decompress. Once placed in a calm room with gentle activity and dog neighbors, Wilson truly began to blossom. Check out the video at the end of the pictures for Wilson's backstory. With patience and kindness (And chicken nuggets) Wilson has slowly learned that people and life can be safe again. He has made such progress that for his snow emergency weekend getaway he hopped right in the car with his foster family. He takes great comfort in the presence of other dogs and clearly gains confidence from them. Hes especially fond of our resident pup, Foxy Lady, and would do best in a home with another friendly dog.

Wilson responds beautifully to soft voices, neck scratches, and tasty treats (chicken nuggets are a favorite!). Hes a sensitive soul who simply wants to be a house dog again a cozy spot, steady companionship, and someone who will let him move at his own pace. A doggy companion would be especially most helpful in Wilson settling into a new home.

With patience and love, Wilson will reward you with quiet devotion and a bond that grows deeper every day. .
