Willow's Story
Willow was brought in by a kind person after being found in terrible condition. She was only 25 pounds, covered in ticks and extremely weak. Luckily, she didn’t have any tick-borne illnesses or any skin issues, so we began her re-feeding program! She quickly gained weight - 8lbs in one week - and is now back to a healthy weight! Willow has shown us how strong and smart she is, and that she loves going out to run her energy off before cuddling up on a cozy bed for a good nap! She loves all people and seems to do well with other dogs! We would recommend a home with no cats, as she does seem to have a pretty strong hunting instinct.

Willow is guessed to be 5-8 years old, and seems to be a purebred Bluetick Coonhound! She is now about 70lbs and has that beautiful coonhound ticking!

Every dog adopted from Green Hills Animal Shelter is fixed, wormed, has age-appropriate vaccinations, and is tested for heartworm (if old enough). Dogs from GHAS will also come with a starter bag of Hills Science Diet dog/puppy food to get you started!
