WILLIE weighs about 30-35 pounds. He was a stray so we know little about his past.

He is a bit needy (unless he is tracking), not a dog to be alone as the only pet. He loves the female MAGIC, a yellow lab who is also very active.

We feel he is best in a home with one other dog and that be a female. When writing this bio on 3/2/22 he was not neutered yet do to scheduling, and he may be better with males when cut. We also like males to be a little older when neutered if possible for their conformation and health.

HE does not mark in his pen, so I think he will be easy to house train. He is kept outdoors here in a large kennel, about 48' long so he is in the middle of all the action.

He will cry when put in a crate, but only a short bit.

WILLIE loves to track, this is why we think he may possibly be a Mountain Cur, so we must keep him kenneled or on a leash. He does not seem to focus enough however to be used in Search and Rescue, but may do well in some sport dog games or hunting. FOOD motivated, but not hot enough with toys for some trainers who don't like to use food.

Not a couch potato. HE wants an active home and would be very happy if you worked at home. However the more you give him of your time, the more he will need you and your time.

Looking for a home that will help teach him to be independent and happy. Great pet for a teenager, not so good for small kids due to energy level and needs to be taught to focus instead of getting excited about you and acting like a jumping bean.
