Willa Akita Chardon, OH

Willa is a cute, healthy, petite one year old long hair female, currently about 70 pounds, but still growing. Her owner reluctantly surrendered her to MARS due to circumstances beyond her control. She grew up well-cared for in a loving family environment . Willa is very friendly and mild-mannered, and is good with both adults and children. She is both house broken and crate trained. She has had obedience training since she was 4 months old, knows several commands, and will walk calmly by your side if requested, a pretty remarkable feat for a happy-go -lucky young pup. Our volunteers have found her to be the easiest rescue to walk ever! She is mildly treat motivated, but much prefers human affection over food. She likes to play with toys, and will carry favorites around with her. Willa is the more tolerant of other dogs than many akitas.

Willa has been a model citizen in our kennel environment, but we would very much like to return this gentle youngster to home life asap.
