Wifty's Story

10/17/2026

Wifty is an approximately 10 week old male poodle mix who weighs 3 pounds. Wifty was born with defects in his back legs that make his movement wonky...
but they don't slow him down one bit! This pup has more determination and character than any super snooty we have known. He is a hard core player who is not going to miss out on any of the action. He hangs tight with his best friend in foster care who happens to be a teenage boxer. If you know a teenage boxer, then you know any 3 pound puppy that can keep up with that, is something else...
much less one with back legs that don't exactly bend and flex the way they should. He goes up and downstairs in his own way, but gets it done. If you think you might carry him to make getting from point a to point b easier, you're crazy!!!
He wants to get there on his own and is certain you are way too slow! There is no grass too high or wet to wander. Nothing scares him. Nothing perplexes him. He is smart and brave and will make you work harder just out of inspiration! If you have any questions about his back legs, send us an email.

Wifty is up to date on shots and preventatives and is microchipped. He will be adopted with a neuter contract due to his size and age and the reimbursement fee will be discussed with our adoption coordinator. His adoption fee is $250 plus any additional donation you feel appropriate. Our adoption fee is set to a level to make adoptions happen. They do not cover our costs. Thank you for your generosity and interest in our dogs!

All dogs adopted locally through SGDR receive a free six-week session of obedience classes and a lifetime of behavior support through our Project REWARD program with trainer Ashley Reum.

You must have an approved application before being able to visit a dog. Visit our website below for an adoption application https://www.snootygiggles.com/dog-application/

If you expect to leave the dog alone for long periods of time, please do not consider adopting a puppy. Puppies need lots of attention and companionship. Thanks.

All known information about the animal is listed above. We do our best to give accurate information, but most of our dogs are rescues and do not come with a known history.
