Snoopy Mixed Breed Lynchburg, VA

Every time a pet spends time in a foster home, we learn more about them! Snoopy went home with a staff member and her dog for a week break from the shelter and during this time we learned that Snoopy is a...CAT! (Just kidding, but read on)

Snoopy is a 3-year-old lab mix who originally came in as a lost pet. He quickly won over the hearts of our staff, so much so that he has spent some time at home with them! One of the things we learned about Snoopy when he was in foster, is that even though he has long legs, he likes to curl up into the tightest ball, cozied up in pillows, when he sleeps in a home. We didn't know this about him in the shelter environment, because Snoopy is very stressed here, but when he has a chance to relax, Snoopy likes to go into "cat mode.

While in foster, Snoopy also loved to hang out with his foster sister, go on walks, and play fetch in the yard. He is great at doing tricks for treats and is up for an adventure while also being down for cuddle time.

Truthfully, we're worried about Snoopy. He is losing weight while in the shelter since this is such a stressful environment. When he is in a home, he gains weight and is much less stressed.
