Waylon's Story

Waylon is a big, lovable pup you can’t help but fall in love with! At around 7 months old, he’s already showing how smart, playful, and friendly he is. He loves meeting new people, gets along well with other dogs, and is eager to learn. He is house-trained. He loves playing with other dogs and can be overly exuberant but responds well to communication and can be an awesome and trustworthy playmate. He will wander off if left outside alone so needs either a well-fenced in yard or an owner willing to do daily walks. When off-leash on walks he tends to stay within sight of his person and minds well.

This sweet boy has that perfect mix of energy and brains—he’ll happily romp and play outside, but he’s just as excited to soak up attention and affection. With his size and smarts, he’ll thrive in a home that can give him structure, continued training, and plenty of love.

Waylon would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for an active dog to share life’s adventures with. He’ll do best in a home with space to stretch his legs and a family who’s ready to include him in their daily routines. Although we believe he has guardian-type dogs in his heritage, he is NOT good around livestock, including chickens and goats. Because of this, we’re looking for a home without livestock where he can thrive as an inside, family dog.

If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving, and bright pup, Waylon may be your perfect match.

This pet is is microchipped, neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming. The pet is heartworm negative, on heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention.
