Waylon's Story
Waylon was one of the most pitiful golden retrievers we have ever taken into rescue. He came to us with bad skin issues which we are addressing. He is a diabetic and is losing his vision due to never being started on insulin. Waylon currently moves like a 14 year old and he is only 3 1/2 years old.

He started on insulin with two doses a day and he is on thyroid medication. He received a medicated bath and we took an inch off his nails. He has ketones in his urine, but he isn't acting keto acidotic. The endocrinologist has concerns for cushings. He has not been the best eater, so we will see how he does from here. Please keep him in your prayers.

Waylon has an ophthalmologist consult in early June and we are hoping we can give this dog his eyesight again.

Thank you all for your concern and for your donations to help Waylon. Here is a direct link to help us care for him.

https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=VGF4PY64M3RJS

We will be listing your names on his page on our website as his sponsor. We couldn't help him without YOU!

For details on how to adopt Waylon or any other golden retriever, please read "How to Adopt" at www.gr-rescue.org and follow the directions from there.
