Waylon

Waylon was one of the most pitiful golden retrievers we have ever taken into rescue. He came to us with bad skin issues which are now much better. He is a diabetic and he might have been losing his vision due to not being given insulin. He moved like a 14 year old when rescued and he is only 3 1/2 years old.<br/><br/>We placed him on insulin with two doses a day and on thyroid medication. Now he is doing much better and we can consider his diabetes under control. <br/><br/>After taking an inch off his nails and ruling out Cushings, Waylon has gained 6 pounds since coming into our rescue. His goofy personality is shining through. He loves to play with his toys, take car rides and stroll around the backyard. He is in much better spirits in general now and we are so happy about this improvement.<br/><br/>Waylon has an ophthalmologist consult in early June and we are hoping we can give this dog his eyesight again.
