Watson's Story

Watson is a gentle, sweet, 8-year-old, 13 lb Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix (non-shedding) looking for his forever pack in Long Beach, CA!

This resilient boy is incredibly friendly, loves people, and walks beautifully on a leash. He's house-trained, knows a few commands, is the master of finding the coziest spot for a nap, and has the cutest little underbite. Watson is wonderful with other dogs (big and small)—he's submissive, never barks back, and just wants canine companionship. He is fully vetted (neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines).

The most important thing to know: Watson needs to be part of a pack! He barks when left completely alone, but the barking stops entirely if he has a human or canine friend nearby. He is seeking a home where his humans are often present, or where he has a resident dog companion to keep him company.

What Makes Watson Special?
- Watson's greatest desire is to be part of a pack. He is truly happiest in the company of his humans or other pets. He slipped seamlessly into his current foster home with two Bichon mixes, proving what an easy-going, adaptable dog he is!
- Watson loves to be near his friends. He is very chill and calm; even when 'corrected' by an alpha dog, he simply walks away—he never snaps or barks back.
- When it's time to relax, Watson is a master of finding the absolute coziest spot, whether it's snuggled up on the couch next to you or enjoying a sunny snooze in his favorite green flower bed.
- Watson has plenty of pep in his step! He is fantastic on a leash and gets so excited when it's time for a walk. He is a people magnet and loves to say hello to everyone he meets. While he may be a little more reserved with new dogs, he is always friendly and has never barked at another dog for saying hi!
- Watson is a quick learner and has learned ‘Sit’, ‘Stop’, ‘Go to Your Bed’ while being with his foster.
- Watson would prefer a single-story home, he does not like stairs.

This gentle, loving, and resilient little dog is guaranteed to steal your heart! If you have the pack Watson is searching for, please apply to meet him today! He is waiting to show you just how much love a rescue boy can give. bichonrescuebrigade.org/adopt/adoption-form
