Wilbarger Humane Society's Adoption Policy

Animals in our care are not ready to go home on the same day. All adoptions require an application and will be spay/neutered and up to date on their vaccines for the first year. Dogs are heartworm tested and cats are leukemia tested before going home. Dog adoptions are $85 and cat adoptions are $60. Adopters must be at least 18 years old. Cat adoptions include spay/neuter, feline leukemia test, two HCPCH and feline leukemia vaccines (three if they are young), worming, microchip, rabies shot, and their first flea and tick treatment. Dog adoptions include spay/neuter, heartworm test, two DHLP/PC+L4 and bordetella vaccines (three if they are young), worming, microchip, rabies shot, their first flea and tick treatment, and their first heartworm prevention. All animals also get a goodie bag to send home.
