Walter in KS's Story
The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.
Phone interviews do not take place til after an approved application is on file and we have a possible match for your home

My name is Walter. I am a 6-year-old Boston MIX and weigh 18 lbs. I ended up in the shelter due to a hoarding situation. I am being fostered in Wichita, KS.

If you’re looking for a smart, sweet, silly boy then look no further. I’m great on leash, know basic commands, learn quickly, and get along with everyone. I am however a bit clumsy, but in a cute way. My favorite resting position is stretched out on my back with my belly exposed for anyone to give me belly rubs. I love belly rubs! I’m a great cuddler, the best cuddler if you’re into belly rubs. Did I mention, I love belly rubs!

I’m crate trained and go into my crate when directed and sleep through the night. I prefer not to spend much more time than that in it.

Here's a little more about me:
Housetrained? Mostly, has marked a few times
Leash-trained? YES
Rides well in car? YES (needs seatbelt or will be in your lap)
Good with other dogs? YES
Good with cats? YES
Good with young children? YES
Good with strangers? YES
Shy or confident? Confident
Barks? When excited, playing or alerting.
Apartment qualified? No
Any Special needs or Health Issues? No
Additional Comments: I’m a good boy that came from a bad situation. My ideal home will have another dog for me to play with and someone to rub my belly and just hang out. I would do well in an active home, taking walks, visiting friends or a less active home, hanging out on the couch and running around the yard. I can adapt to most situations but you must know that I like to bark on occasion, love the outdoors and need people around me ... I’m a social boy.
Adoption Fee? $ 200

The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at ''https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.

All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.

MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.

MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.

If you are Interested in Adoption please complete our online adoption application at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application

Petfinder's form is NOT our application.
