Walter is a male 4.5-year-old, 95lb Standard Poodle and Great Dane mix. Walter comes from a loving and supportive family and thus we have a very good history of his personality and needs.<br/><br/>Walter would make a perfect companion for a family that loves large breed dogs. He's equally good with people and other dogs (not cat tested). His bestie includes a 5lb chihuahua. A gentle giant, he's potty-trained and potty bell trained and loves to walk or sit quietly next to you. His previous family has trained him not to crowd the door because of his big size. <br/><br/>Walter is noted as special needs because he has environmental allergies that need daily attention.<br/><br/>Allergies: Environmental that cause internal inflammation and ear infections <br/>Medications: Apoquel (16 mg) per day<br/>Health Issues: Ears need regular cleaning (every day to once a week); Management with medication and regular cleaning. Medicated Shampoo for baths to help with allergy skin itching. Ear infections (once or twice a year) will require a vet visit and ear flushes and several medications, including antibiotics when it flares. <br/><br/>Walter's coat is slow-growing so very little grooming is needed other than baths.<br/><br/>Walter's will require a family with some dog medical experience (ideally a past history with allergies). A family with large breed dog experience is preferred.<br/><br/>Walter will require a home with a fenced yard. and kids 8 and older.<br/><br/>Walter is up to date to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered.
