Walt's Story

Walt is a 5-year-old, 16-pound Pomeranian mix who is slowly discovering how wonderful life as a beloved family pet can be. Coming from a breeding background, many everyday experiences are still very new to her, so she approaches the world with a gentle and cautious curiosity.

While he may be shy at first, Walt will quietly tiptoe over for pets and affection once he feels safe. Each day, his foster family sees a little more of his personality shine through — more tail wags, more confidence, and even sweet little kisses.

Walt is still adjusting to the routines and activity of home life, and he will need a patient family willing to give him time to continue blossoming at his own pace. We believe he would do especially well in a home with another confident, friendly dog to help show him the ropes and build his confidence.

With love, patience, and understanding, Walt is sure to become a wonderful and devoted companion

If you are interested in adopting Louisa, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.

**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
