Meet Wafer! <br/><br/>Wafer is a male, American Pitbull Terrier who was born December 2025! This handsome boy is looking for his furever home! <br/><br/>Wafer is such a sweet, spunky, loving, curious, boy! Car rides? Snoozes. Yard to run around? Runs and explores. Person to love? Snuggles and kisses! Wafer is a people loving, good of a pup. A very curious and inquisitive explorer. He loves to zoom around in big spaces outside but takes time to warm up on car rides or on the leash in public places. His favorite activities are snuggling, napping, meal time, and the occasional wrestle. He loves pretty much anything and everything, including himself because you’ll catch him staring at his reflection often- and who would blame this adorable guy? He loves attention and just needs a little encouragement to get outside of his comfort zone! <br/><br/>Wafer loves other dogs and is good with cats (he is more interested in their food). He is mostly house trained, crate trained, and good on his leash! He would do best in an active household with lots of love to give! He is very food motivated and is learning wait, down, etc. but already knows sit! This sweet boy is a little nervous getting in and out of the car and stairs- but his foster family is working on those things with him! <br/><br/>Wafer is like Krypton the super dog- he’s one of the fastest dogs you’ll meet and is the most devoted and loyal to you. He will love you unconditionally and make you smile and giggle every day with his tricks and big heart! Did we mention he has an adorable underbite and unique spots?<br/><br/>He is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. His adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required neuter when age-appropriate. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics.<br/><br/>Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption.<br/><br/>Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
