Violet 's Story
Violet is a 7-year-old little lady that came to rescue after being released from a breeder. She is a true mini at just 10 pounds. She is very shy and scared and will need a patient owner that is willing to let her learn to be a pet and not a commodity. It is a process and can take some time but can be very rewarding. She is kennel trained and is working on her potty skills. She will need a fenced yard and will also need another confident well-behaved dog already in the home to teach her the ropes. If you think she could fit well in your home, let us know and we will arrange for you to meet her.

All our dogs are current on vaccinations which include Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Bordetella. They are spayed and or neutered, have been fecal tested and heartworm tested, and had a dental cleaning if necessary. They are all on heartworm and flea/tick preventative as needed in rescue. They all will have a microchip that will be registered in the adopter's name and is good for a lifetime with no additional fees.

The adoption process is an application, a vet reference, a home inspection, and a lifetime contract. The requested adoption donation for all our dogs is $400.

We do not REQUIRE a fenced in yard (some dogs do not require a fence, if they can walk well on harness and leash. This is decided by what is best for each dog individually.)

We are willing to adopt to out-of-state applicants, but you must travel to the foster home location of your dog which is in Omaha or within a 90-minute drive from the Omaha area to meet and travel home with your dog. We do not transport or ship dogs.

If you are interested in adding this beautiful baby to your loving family, please visit our website and fill out an adoption application at http://www.nebraskadachshundrescue.org/adoptapp.htm
The adoption fee is $400.
