Violet's Story

Violet came into our rescue as a puppy mill survivor in early April of this year.

She is a Shih tzu, approximately 7-9 years old and is about 14 pounds. Her life in the mill has left her under socialized and non-trusting of people. She is very skittish and will run away from you if she thinks you want to pick her up. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She follows her foster mom everywhere and you can tell she’s trying her hardest to be your friend. With time, patience and positive reinforcement Violet has the potential to become a beloved pet if given the chance.

She has not yet barked in her foster home but hopefully one day she will find her voice. She follows her foster mom in and out of the house for yard time and potty breaks. She is good at the vets and the groomers. Life is very different for Violet in her foster home and you can tell she’s gives every challenge her best effort. Violet gets along with every dog she has met and seems indifferent towards the cat.

Violet will need leash training and on going house training support. Violet would do best in a home with a yard.

If you think Violet is a match for you please fill in an application for our review:
https://www.speakingofdogs.com/adoption/dog-adoption-application-2/
