Violet's Story
Violet is a sweet senior girl looking for a soft place to land for her golden years. After the passing of her previous owner, she has found herself in need of a new home — and she has so much love left to give.

While her microchip lists her as 17, none of the veterinarians who have seen her believe she is quite that old. Based on her health and energy, we estimate she is likely 12+ years young. She recently had a mammary mass removed and a dental, and is otherwise in good health for her age.

Violet may be a senior, but she still loves her walks and enjoys getting out and about. At home, she is the definition of a couch companion — calm, gentle, and happiest when she’s close to her people soaking up pets and attention (and yes… she snores like a freight train 💜).

She does only have one eye, but it doesn’t slow her down at all — she navigates her environment confidently and continues to enjoy her daily routines like any other dog.

She is:

Very gentle and social with people, including children
Good with other dogs and cats
Well-mannered on leash and enjoys her daily walks
Fully house trained with excellent communication when she needs out
Easygoing and relaxed, with no issues around food or toys
Violet has quickly settled into her foster home and has picked up routines with ease — especially when it comes to treat time! She is a very intuitive little dog who will let you know what she needs with a look or gentle persistence.

She would do best in a calm home where she can enjoy her routines, her walks, and lots of cozy naps.

📍 Location: Calgary
🐾 Breed: Shih Tzu (mix)
💜 Age: 12+ years
⚖️ Weight: 10.6 kg (approx. 23 lbs)
💰 Adoption Fee: $350

If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion to share quiet moments and daily walks, Violet may be your perfect match. 💜

💜 Meet Violet 💜
Violet is a sweet senior girl looking for a soft place to land for her golden years.
