Vigo's Story
Meet Vigo!

We're confused by this dude being where he is!

This boy was clearly owned and cared for but ended up on the streets as a stray and has a bit of a ride since then.

Since being with us he's been fantastic. The groomers loved him and he seemed to love the grooming. He did find the whole ordeal distressing and got an upset tummy for a day but he handled it all like a pro.

Every time we take him out of his kennel he knows the deal and wonders why the leash isn't on yet because we have a walk to go on! He's been so respectful of his house mates around resources and just hanging out, it's been impressive.

This boy can handle a working schedule, he's kennel trained and does fantastic with it.

--------------------- About our process and fees---------------------

Our application: https://laststoprescue.com/adoption-app/

If you're interested in donating, sponsoring or volunteering please visit us at www.LastStopRescue.com or follow us on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/Laststoprescue.il
We treat these dogs as individuals with needs and to that end all of our dogs will have been in fosters no less than two weeks, they will have at least started training if not attend weekly classes and get daily training at home with the fosters!

Which means our longest residents will be the best trained, as long as they're with us we're going to keep socializing and working through any issues they may have.

When you adopt from us you will have a very clear picture of the dog you're meeting and on going support!

Our Fees are as follows:
Senior dogs over 7 are $450
Adult dogs are $650
Puppies under 1 year are $800
Specific breeds are $900

With each adoption you will be...
1. Given up to four hours of free training (from the foster and coordinator),
2. Full medical report of all findings,
3. All of the supplies needed for a new dog as we attain these for the care of each dog,
4. A full run down on their behavioral status, where they started, where they are and how far is left to go. This will be detailed in a training plan from us about what they can or cannot handle well and it will be discussed as much as needed.

We fully vet all of our dogs which is reflected in our adoption fee. On average we will pay about 600 dollars in medical per dog. Every dog gets a full blood panel, fecal/urine check, heartworm & tick panel and treatment if required, spayed/neutered, all shots and boosters, along with anything specific to their needs.
