Meet VICTORIA!<br/><br/>***Victoria is being fostered in Maryland and is ready for a meet and greet!***<br/><br/>Victoria is about 37 lbs and 4 years old. We are pretty sure she’s a Lab mix!<br/><br/>Victoria is a very loving dog who is incredibly smart, active and loving. <br/>Check out her videos to get a sense of her loving personality! <br/><br/>Because we believe Victoria deserves the best chance at finding the right home (black dogs have a harder chance at being adopted), we invested THOUSANDS of dollars into her training and care so she can seamlessly go to her forever home! She recently completed 4 weeks of basic training at a professional highly respected board-and-train program in Puerto Rico in April 2026, where she learned:<br/><br/>• Basic commands like “sit” and “down”<br/>• Excellent leash manners (she walks beautifully!)<br/>• Confidence socializing around other dogs<br/>• Structure that will help her thrive in many environments, including busy neighborhoods or cities<br/><br/>Victoria did phenomenally in training and continues to impress everyone she meets! Her current foster in Maryland notes that her training kicks right in and that she's a smart cookie. She's also excellent on a leash and she loves treats along the way.<br/><br/>She would be great with older kids who can match her energy. Check out the adorable video of the child walking her!<br/><br/>Victoria loves spending time outdoors and would thrive with an adopter who enjoys walks, adventures, or simply spending time together! She REALLY loves running around in the backyard. She will also do crazy zoomies after her leash is taken off after a walk.<br/><br/>Victoria’s story began in Puerto Rico, where she was rescued by the founder of our rescue while visiting her grandmother in Arecibo. The area where Victoria was found is unfortunately known as a dumping ground for abandoned dogs on the island. Victoria appeared suddenly one day, completely alone. It was clear she had recently been dumped. When we examined her, we could tell she had likely nursed puppies not long before being abandoned. Wherever her puppies were, Victoria was left behind.<br/><br/>PLEASE NOTE THAT VICTORIA IS PART OF OUR “BIG DOG PROMOTION” AND THUS HER ADOPTION FEE IS REDUCED to $300. WE ARE ALSO WAIVING ANY OTHER TRANSPORTATION FEES.<br/><br/>Please feel free to email us with any questions about her!
