Vicki American Staffordshire Terrier Mechanicsburg, PA

Meet Vicki! Vicki is an approximately 2-3 year old American Pit Bull Terrier. She came to Speranza Animal Rescue in the summer of 2023 and has been in a foster home since October, where she has done so well! Vicki is a very well-behaved dog who loves everyone she meets. She will greet you with a hug and a kiss, but she’s learning how to sit patiently and wait for pets. She’s made so much progress on her manners – she sits for treats and takes them so gently (she's also been known to sit right by where the treats are kept as a subtle hint she'd like one)! When she sees her food bowl she sits and waits to be told it’s time to eat. And when it’s time for walks, she sits and wags her tail while she gets her harness on. Speaking of walks, they’re Vicki’s FAVORITE. She loves to sniff and explore and does pretty great on a leash. Vicki loves car rides and being out and about. She has visited farmers markets and shops and wineries with her foster family and is such a good girl! While she loves playing and being active, her favorite activity is napping and snuggling. Vicki will sit at the couch and wait to be invited up and then relishes all the cuddles and scratches and pets she can get. She is truly a lovebug! Vicki is housetrained, crate-trained and does great with kids. She probably needs to be the only dog, but she’s all the love you’ll need. She loves her humans with all her heart and can’t wait to find her furever home!
