Vianey Arana is friendly with people and is most definitely a lapdog and loves as much attention you can give her. Her eating habits tend to be somewhat picky and more times than not, she has to be coaxed to eat her meals. She likes her walks which have been shortened due to her leg surgery but are being extended little by little. For the most part she takes simple commands willingly and is house broken. She sleeps all night on her own bed alongside her foster parent.<br/><br/>Vianey Arana was transferred to Valley Humane Society on 8/15 from Stockton Animal Services. She had been found stray. Vianey weighs 8.2 pounds and is a young adult dog (estimated to be aged between 1 and 4 years).<br/><br/>This dog had a surgical procedure called a femoral head and neck ostectomy (or "FHO") performed on her right hip on 9/10/26 due to a painful hip condition called Legs-Calves Perthes disease. With this procedure, the "ball" of the "ball and socket" hip joint is removed and the hip forms a "false joint" where the hip is held together by the muscles, but there is no longer any bone-on-bone contact. During the weeks immediately following surgery, moderate exercise is encouraged to ensure that she returns to use of her leg.
