Varsity's Story

Hello Rescue fans,

STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING- and behold the beauty that is…Varsity, the Golden mix in his Golden years. This dog is AMAZING, housebroken, great on a leash, calm, sweet, dog friendly, beautiful! Golden mixes are not often in Rescue- DROP EVERYTHING AND SCOOP HIM UP NOW!

Change A Life Dog Rescue was approached about taking a dog from an overcrowded shelter. We were told that the dog was brought in by Animal Control because someone heard him barking in an abandoned house. The dog was brought to the shelter and assessed by the Vet. He is about 7 yrs old, 60lbs, dog friendly (we do not know about cats), Heartworm negative, housebroken, is great on a leash and very chill/mild mannered. The dogs name is Varsity- he is a GOLDEN RETRIEVER MIX- not “Golden” enough for a Golden Retriever Rescue, but we know there is someone out there that would like to make a difference in the life of a Senior Golden mix. Varsity is neutered and vaccinated, and in a CT Foster home waiting for his person, is that you?
