Vaalea read info please's Story
We received a message from a fellow rescue that doesn't really do dogs about this little girl that was being abused by the children of the house and the father agreed to surrender her and that's when we were reached out to and agreed to take her she needed some reversing of the trauma of being abused by these kids and she learns really quickly the difference between what is acceptable in a home filled with love and appreciation and admiration versus what she was in.

She is being crate trained and although she is likely housebroken we dont have exact knowledge of that. What we do know is that she's not a chewer and given some time to give her a new environment she's going to have to have a little bit of a buffer... a learning curve.

She is smart. She is playful. When she feels comfortable in her environment she becomes very confident and outgoing.

Surprisingly enough with the trauma that she had experienced, from her previous owners leaving her outside nonstop she has adapted into a great little dog. When she was with her former owner she would try to escape to the neighbor's house and often succeeding but since with us, she hasn't, it didn't take long for her to become acclimated to our small dog group and there are some in there that are larger lab sized. She tries to play with some of the tiny ones but they don't engage so she moves onto the next.

She's a very happy girl and will require a fenced yard, NO apartments and someone that isn't gone all day unless there are other pets or people in the home. What we have learned is that she actually can jump over a few fences or climb them so she will require somebody to have a 6 ft fence, preferably wood where she cannot have the thought of entertaining anything on the other side, this includes no chain link and no vertical slats.

She would need to be in a home with other dogs especially at least one that she can play with.

I would say that she's not entirely Chihuahua as to me she doesn't even really look like a chihuahua I think she has more of a rat terrier look as well as structure of her body. She's very long legged but she has the most darling little doe tail like a white tipped doe and it's short and wasn't docked. When it wags its just the cutest.

As with all of our dogs because of their history we are extremely particular about where they are going to go and what their needs are going to be please do not feel it has anything to do with you personally it's just that if you're home is not the right fit for her then it's not going to be the right fit for us.
