Ursa "Ursula"'s Story

Meet sweet Ursula. Unfortunately, as is the case with so many Texas dogs, Ursula and her single puppy were both taken to one of our local animal shelters where they were left, scared and confused. The "owners" were going on vacation and no longer wanted them :(
The shelter contacted us immediately and of course, we stepped up for both Ursula and her puppy. Ursula is currently in the care of one of our fosters (in Houston) where she is learning that she is safe and loved. We believe that Ursula was not treated well by her former owners as she is initially timid, quiet and shy when meeting new people. She also has several teeth missing in her front that likely occurred from some sort of trauma :(
Although she was initially reserved at her foster home, Ursula is proving to be resilient and trusting and learning what it means to be a happy, well loved dog. She thrives on the attention from her foster family and enjoys being around the other dogs in the home. Ursula is now ready for the home and for the life that this little scruff deserves.

Here is a bit more about this sweet angel:

*Believed to be a terrier mix - possibly with some Dachshund
*Around 6 years of age
*Current weight - 18 lbs
*Recently spayed
*Up to date on her vaccinations
*Heartworm negative
*Great with other dogs
*Good with cats
*The ultimate "Lap Dog"
*Is about 90% potty trained - Has learned how to use the doggy door

What we can definitely say about Ursula is that she will make an excellent companion dog or emotional support animal for someone seeking a gentle and consistent presence in their life. Although she is fine living with other dogs and cats, Ursula's focus is her foster family. She loves nothing more than laying beside her "humans" or sleeping beside one of them at night. If you are looking for a gentle, sweet, soulful little dog who will surely bring you years of memories and happiness, look no further than our tender Ursula.

Adoption Donation: $400 - includes transport and is tax-deductible

*If you are seeing this posting, Ursula is currently still available.
*We respond to all inquiries within 24 hours, however please check your junk/spam email file as at times, our responses get placed in these locations.
*If you would like to complete our online adoption application, see below link:
https://form.jotform.com/221444730332143
